U-15's Division 2Avondale-0 Passage-2 A strong performance in tough conditions from our girls on Saturday. The Passage girls started well and battled for every ball. We created many chances but were unable to capitalise and the Avondale keeper was superb. Passage were finally able to break the deadlock when Ida slotted the ball into the bottom corner after a scramble in the box. The girls brought the same intensity in the second half and were rewarded once again with a great goal by Ida. A super performance all round by all the squad especially from Isabel Dorney, Lucy O'Neill and Mollie O'Donovan. Thanks to Avondale for hosting and Jenny O'Neill for reffing. Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ... See MoreSee Less

Park United U15 girls were at home to Mallow on Saturday Conditions didn’t help either team, with a strong wind blowing across the park.Park started really strong and were on top early, with 2 weaving runs through defence from Jessie Walsh and 2 equally special strikes.Same girl was at it early in 2nd half, when she completed her hat trick - she really is a special talent. It was a fantastic performance from all 17 girls today and this team is getting strong & stronger.Final score 3-1Thanks to Dave O’Mahony for reffing - a real pleasure to work with. Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ... See MoreSee Less

Kerry v Cork Red U12With a 2 all draw in their recent outing to Tipperary South . Cork travelled to Kerry today in search of their first win, and they did not disappoint.Within the first few minutes of play, you could see Cork started well, having all pressure in the Kerry half, 3 corners, and a lively shot from Faye Lerner. Cork was on the right track.Great passages of play from the back line with Mia Mullane, Maise Sweeney, Faye Knowles, & Brooke Cullen. But on the 20 minute mark Cork dealt with a bit pressure from Kerry, and broke out from left side with a lovely passage of play of 1-2 from Ellie Callis and Tess Ahern with a quick pass into Faye Lerner who turned in on her right side with lovely shot. Back of the netCork 1 up.Kerry came into the game then with a display of attacking, but Faye Knowles commanding her back line, dealt with the game very well.Approaching the halfway mark, a nice piece of play from Shonna White and Faye Lerner with a cross across the box found the forever working hard Brooke Cullen at the back post. 2 hard tackles from Brooke, and she found the net. Cork were 2 up.Half time. With plenty of changes from both teams.Kerry started the better. We had a lovely snapshot from Shonna White in the first 3 minutes, but shortly after, Kerry was awarded a penalty. Cork’s Roisin was very unlucky not to stop it, getting a great touch to the ball, Kerry were back in the game. 2-1.Cork had a bit rocky spell for 10minutes after but Faye Knowles steadied our ship and the thankless work rate from Eva Dawson and Isla doyle in the middle, Cork were able to bring on some Fantastic game changers Rebecca, Isla Weighton putting there effort in, when they were called on to perform.Kerry rightly pushed to the end with some excellent display of goalkeeping from Mia and Róisín Cork held on for the win.A massive well done to all the girls.Mia, Maise,Faye Knowles,Ellie, Isla doyle, Eva, Faye learner, Brooke, Shonna, Roisin, Rebecca, Summer, Cliona, Isla Weighton Tess, Special mention to Maddie and Dubhesa, who were injured, speedy recovery 🙏 Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ... U13 InterleagueNorth Tipp 0Cork White 4A true squad performance away to North Tipp today saw us come away with a solid victory. We started brightly and controlled the game with lessons learned from the last game being put right by the girls. The first goal came from quick actions by goalkeeper Grace Murray who spotted the Tipp team hadn't reset and launched a long ball for Lucy Conroy to beat the back line and finish passed the keeper. Tipp grew into the game and we battled well to keep the lead. Lucy O'Reilly was a constant threat down our right hand side, creating a number of chances for herself and others but Tipp held firm. The girls came flying out of the blocks in the second half with Rose O'Shaughnessey forcing the turnover before rounding the keeper and finishing into an empty net. The girls workrate never dropped and a barnstorming run from Sofia Rice saw her finish brilliantly to make it three. Tipp were never out of it and worked hard to try get a goal back earning a penalty. Hazel Connolly, on her return from injury saved it superbly. Eireann Finn rounded off the scoring, running onto a through ball and rounding the keeper to finish with her left foot. Corks player of the match goes to Aoibhe Hartnett who was a rock at the centre of defence with a special mention to Lucy O'Reilly whose performance was only missing a goal. Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ... See MoreSee Less

U17 Girls Division 2Fermoy 4-0 St Mary's.Amyra Lavery (30)Cathy Keane (38)Aimee Kearney (55) (70)The sun was shining at Carrig Park today (well, for a short while), where Fermoy hosted St Mary's. Both sides were up for the challenge right from the kick-off, St Mary's started strong, but just couldn't break down the Fermoy defence, and after a slow start, Fermoy and some encouragement from the sidelines, they started to gel together and dominated the game keeping most of the play in St Mary's half of the pitch creating many chances, but couldn't seem to finish, until the 30th minute when Amyra received a ball at the edge of the box and beat her marker to tuck it away and make it 1-0. Then, eight minutes later, after the ball was played into the St Mary's box, it fell to Cathy, who took a touch past the defender and scored Fermoy's second to make it 2-0 at halftime. In the second half, Fermoy kept pushing forward with another couple of chances from Sarah and Aimee being put just past the post and a couple of good saves from the St Mary's keeper. St Mary's broke through with a couple of chances, but again, the Fermoy defence were strong, and Reanna was out sharp to deny any chance they had to ensure she kept a clean sheet. It was Fermoy's turn again in the 55th minute, when Amyra received the ball on the wing and played a lovely pass to Aimee who broke through into the box and hit a shot, which took a deflection into the net to make it 3-0. Fermoy kept going looking for more, and they got it in the 70th minute of the game when Aimee scored her 2nd and was looking for a hatrick, but it just wasn't to be.Final Score...Fermoy 4-0 St Mary's. Fermoy Squad.....Sarah Love (C) Reanna Jones, Ayvah Kenneally, Roisìn Barnes, Grace Hickey, Cathy Keane, Brooke O'Brien-Noctor, Aimee Kearney, Amyee Lavery, Amyra Lavery, Ciara Howard, Evie Stack, Clodagh Howard.Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ... *U13 G Premier**Blarney 1-3 Midleton*Really good performance from the girls last night away in Blarney in their first game under lights. Wind and rain added to the atmosphere and there was great football on display. Sofia sent Ellody away for the opener, her first of 3 and probably the pick of them, but Blarney settled and were hard to break down. Finally, Sarah got free in midfield and sent Ellody away for her 2nd, a fine finish into the far corner. The girls were playing some great stuff and just before h/t Sofia took out 4 Blarney girls with a super run down the left ending in a great cross and a first time finish from Ellody. 3-0 h/t. Blarney came out with renewed enthusiasm and some tactical switches in the 2nd half and they took the game to us, creating numerous opportunities down their right which Penny, Hannah and Molly dealt with very well. Eventually though they got through and finished well to pull one back. We continued to attack though with Abi and Hannah working hard in midfield and Niamhs strong runs on the right. No more goals but a fine performance overall. Player of the Match went to Hannah for a strong performance at centre back and in midfield. Well done Hannah and all the girls. Thanks to Blarney for hosting under lights and to ref Pat for a great game! ⚪️⚽️🌑 Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ... See MoreSee Less

Limerick County 1 - 3 Cork Cork Goal Scorers Ciara Allen, Ella McCarthy & Faye CroninA great win for the Cork U16 girls team today away to a strong Limerick County side. The girls started strong in the first half and went 0-1 up after a great Ciara Allen strike . Limerick finished the half strong with a couple of chances but the Cork defence and keeper stood firm . The second half started in the same manner as the first , Cork well on top having more chances but just couldn’t find the 2nd goal and it proved costly when Limerick were awarded a penalty which they converted well , 1-1 with 15 mins left in tough conditions in Charleville , but the girls never dropped their levels or their fight and were rewarded with about 10 minutes left Ella McCarthy capitalised on a mistake with a great weak foot finish. Only a couple of minutes later Cork sealed the win after great build up in the midfield up to Lily O’Connell saw her strike saved impressively from the Limerick goalkeeper only to fall into the path of Faye Cronin who made no mistake and put the 3rd goal home 3 wins out of 3 games for this great group of girls to reward their hard work every week in training Well done to all involved ⚽️😊⚽️ ...
