League Centres

League Centre Training 2018/2019

  • The League Development Centres will be restarting in September, with the training at weekends.We are trialing weekend training times during the short season, for the following reasons:
    • Parents struggled to get players out to weekday evening sessions
    • Better weather / temperatures in the afternoons
    • Provides regular slots that we can use for Interleague / Friendly matches throughout the season
    • Clashes with ETP training sessionsU16 & U19 sessions will take place Saturdays, for 90 minutes every fortnight at CIT all weather facility, this will be the training for the Cork U19 Representative team2pm U16’s  2pm U12’s The age groups are as followsU14 – Born in 2004 or 05U19 Born in 2000,2001,2002…Competition for the U19’s runs into 2019Any players who are currently involved with the U12, 14 or 16 Emerging Talent Programs are not to attend.

    • When nominating players can you please ensure that the players attending are committed and have a genuine interest to improve their game. Whilst the sessions are open to all players, we do expect a level of commitment and work rate from all players. Please could clubs have their nominations in by close of business Wednesday 12th September.
    • Working within the FAI development plan framework, the league centres will run for 6 sessions up to the end of the short season, at a cost of €30 per player.
    • There will be goalkeeper specific training included in the program at all age groups.

    • U16 – Born in 2002 or 03
    • U12 – Born in 2006, 07 or 08
    • We would like the clubs to put forward nominations to attend, stating their Name, Date of Birth & Preferred Playing Position.
    • 3:30pm U14’s
    • Starting Sept Sun 23rd
    • Under 12 & U14 sessions will take place Sundays,for 90 minutes every fortnight at Carrigtwohill All Weather 
    • 3:30pm U19’s
    • Starting Sept 15th
    •
