SENIORS ROUND UP

Last night saw the curtain close on the senior leagues fixtures and has generally seen 2 very competitive divisions.

Wilton reclaimed the Premier title that Riverstown has won in 2018 with Lakewood & Douglas Hall finishing joint 2nd. The head to head was 2-1 in favour of Lakewood

Up to 3 weeks ago 4 teams were in the running for the 1st Division title but with the teams playing each other it was cut to two. Passage claimed a 2-1 victory over Springfield Ramblers last evening to force a title playoff against an in form Carrigaline side to decide the top 2 places. The playoff is this Monday 26th @ 6.30pm at Ballinhassig. Extra time & penalties if needed. Best of luck to both teams

The Steve Quinn Cup final is Sunday September 8th @ 4pm in Turners Cross. Wilton v Douglas Hall

The Kevin Barry Cup final is Sunday September 8th @ 6pm in Turners Cross. Ballinhassig v Lakewood Rangers

The Cork U19 squad will welcome Dublin to Cork this Monday 19th March for the semi-final of the u19 inter-league tournament. Kick-off is at 2pm at Carrigaline AFC East Astro. All support is appreciated. Best of luck ladies!

DOUGLAS HALL WIN STEVE QUINN CUP

Douglas Hall LFC  are the Steve Quinn Champions for 2018 after a very competitive 2-0 win against Lakewood Athletic. Goals from Megan O’Keeffe & Ciara (legs) Desmond sealed the win while a Player of the Match performance by Hall goalkeeper Jess O’Mahony kept Lakewood scoreless.

SENIOR LADIES START WITH A WIN

CWSSL 3-0 KILDARE

Cork Senior Women had a great start to their Angela Hearst Campaign v Kildare District League Goals from Shauna McCarthy, Melissa Finn and Ciara Desmond secured three points…well done to all involved.
